Job Description

At Steeplechase, we cultivate an environment that promotes children's growth, learning, and skill development, which is both gratifying and enriching. Teachers are tasked with creating and executing educational activities like storytelling, art projects, and curriculum-based lessons for young children. Ensuring children's well-being and advancement aligns with our standards and complies with the regulations of the Missouri Department of Education. Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children
  • Ensure children are supervised at all times; this includes all areas of our facility (restrooms, classrooms, hallways, playground)
  • Communication: Keeping parents informed of program expectations, program activities, and their child’s progress is vital to the success of our program. You must be able to listen to parents and maintain open, friendly, and cooperative relationships with them. Open and positive communication with coworkers and management is expected at all times
  • Reliability and trustworthy
Qualifications:
  • CDA, AA, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education
  • 1 year or more in a professional education setting
  • Must be able to pass a mandatory background screening
  • Continued Education and Professional Development provided
