Overview of the Role:

As a board-eligible or board-certified Pediatrician in Ogdensburg, NY, you will join a dynamic team in a hospital-employed outpatient practice serving a community of 40,000 residents. You will collaborate with two other pediatricians and one advanced practitioner to provide high-quality care to 18-22 patients per day, working in close coordination with a single hospital supported by 24/7 hospitalists. Your role will involve rotating phone call duties (1 in 3) and one weekend per month, with office hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. This role offers a balance of professional fulfillment and work-life balance, set in a picturesque region with abundant outdoor activities and proximity to major cities like Syracuse, Ottawa, and Montreal.

Employee Value Proposition (EVP):

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a pediatrician looking to make a meaningful impact in a growing community while enjoying the unique quality of life that the Thousand Island Region offers. In addition to a competitive base salary of $260k to $320k, the position includes a sign-on bonus, incentives, benefits, malpractice insurance, and student loan repayment, making it an attractive package for those seeking both professional and financial growth. The role provides a platform for career development in a supportive, collaborative environment with potential for long-term community involvement.

Major Performance Objectives:

  1. Deliver Exceptional Pediatric Care: Within the first year, you will establish yourself as a trusted provider in the community by consistently seeing 18-22 patients per day, managing a variety of pediatric cases with precision and care. Success in this objective will be measured by patient satisfaction scores, adherence to clinical guidelines, and the effective coordination with hospitalists to ensure seamless care transitions.

  2. Collaboration and Team Building: Collaborate with the existing pediatric team and advanced practitioner to foster a cohesive and collaborative working environment. Within the first 90 days, develop a team-oriented approach to care, ensuring that all members are aligned with the practice’s goals and standards. This will include weekly team meetings, coordinated care plans, and joint decision-making processes, with success measured by improved team dynamics and patient care outcomes.

Company Culture Overview:

The practice values a patient-centered approach, emphasizing quality care, teamwork, and community involvement. The pace is steady, allowing for thorough patient care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The practice's culture is rooted in collaboration, with a strong emphasis on professional development and continuous improvement, ensuring that both staff and patients thrive in a supportive environment.
