GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This position supports the Wyoming Department of Education's (WDE)'s Special Education Program Division’s requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act 2004 in providing general supervision, technical assistance, and professional development, to Wyoming school districts through the managing, planning, coordination, and evaluation of monitoring and improvement activities and division initiatives which facilitate the improved academic and functional outcomes for students with disabilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (typically in Education)
Experience:
1-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Education or Instruction) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Education Program Specialist.
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
4-6 years of progressive work experience (typically in Education or Instruction) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Education Program Specialist.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, driving an automobile, etc.
Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
